Abstract

This scientific article comprehensively analyzes the clinical and functional criteria influencing the development of postcholecystectomy syndrome using sleeve resection as an example. In recent years, along with the widespread use of bariatric surgery, particularly sleeve gastrectomy, the number of cholecystectomy procedures performed to eliminate gallbladder-related complications has also increased. This situation, in turn, raises the risk of developing postcholecystectomy syndrome in the postoperative period.

The study evaluates patients’ clinical manifestations (pain syndrome, dyspeptic disorders, flatulence, diarrhea) and functional indicators (bile secretion dynamics, sphincter of Oddi function, liver enzyme levels) to determine the mechanisms underlying the formation of this syndrome. The results demonstrate that cholecystectomy performed simultaneously with or after sleeve resection leads to disturbances in bile circulation and causes functional alterations in the body.

Therefore, comprehensive diagnostics before and after surgery, the application of individualized approaches, and the development of preventive measures are of significant importance. The findings of this study contribute to improving early diagnosis and effective treatment strategies for postcholecystectomy syndrome in clinical practice.
