RESULTS OF TREATMENT OF PATIENTS WITH OBSTRUCTIVE JAUNDICE OF TUMOR ORIGIN: A COMPREHENSIVE ASSESSMENT BASED ON CLINICAL OBSERVATION DATA

Relevance. Malignant obstructive jaundice is one of the severe complications of malignant tumors of the hepatobiliary system and pancreatic region. Mechanical obstruction of the bile ducts may lead to hyperbilirubinemia, cholestasis, impaired liver function, endogenous intoxication, and the development of infectious complications. This article provides a comprehensive assessment of the clinical outcomes of modern decompressive and surgical ap­proaches.

Objective. To evaluate the clinical efficacy of treatment strategies for malignant obstructive jaundice and to analyze bilirubin dynamics, complications, and length of hospital stay.

Materials and Methods. The study included 100 patients for the purpose of demonstrating statistical analysis.
