Abstract

The menisci are essential anatomical components of the knee joint, providing biomechanical stability, load distribution, and shock absorption. Meniscal injury is among the most common pathologies in traumatology and orthopedics, particularly prevalent among athletes. This article reviews meniscal anatomy, blood supply, biomechan­ical significance, injury causes, diagnosis, and modern treatment approaches.
