ENDOSCOPIC UNILATERAL LAMINECTOMY WITH BILATERAL SPINAL CANAL DECOMPRESSION (ULBD) IN THE TREATMENT OF DEGENERATIVE CENTRAL LUMBAR SPINAL STENOSIS: RESULTS OF A SINGLE-CENTER RETROSPECTIVE STUDY

Degenerative lumbar spinal stenosis is one of the most common causes of neurogenic intermittent claudication, chronic pain, and decreased quality of life in elderly patients. Current trends in spinal surgery are aimed at introducing minimally invasive technologies that provide effective decompression of neural structures with minimal tissue trauma. This paper presents the results of fully endoscopic unilateral laminotomy with bilateral spinal canal decompression (ULBD). The data obtained demonstrate the high clinical efficacy and safety of this technique, accompanied by early restoration of motor activity, a low complication rate, and the absence of secondary adverse effects due to intraoperative cerebrospinal fluid leakage. The proposed surgical sequence ensures reliable monitoring of the adequacy of decompression and can be recommended as a reproducible algorithm for the endoscopic treatment of degenerative lumbar spinal stenosis.
