Abstract

Morphological changes in spleen tissue in acute secondary periodontitis include denudation of the marginal zone of lymphoid follicles in the pulp, a sharp decrease in B-lymphocytes in the germinal center, and an increase in the proliferative defenses of mesenchymal cells. In particular, moderately positive expression of the Ki 67 marker is detected. CD 8 marker is detected, with denudation of the germinal center stroma, a sharp decrease in the number of T lymphocytes around the central artery, a sharp saturation of the pulpal veins in the red pulp, and increased hemolysis of erythrocytes. In the red pulp, there is a large amount of hemolysis around the perimeter of the Billroth bundle, an increase in siderophages, denudation of the stroma along the lymphoid follicles, and an increase in lymphocytes in the postcapillary venules and pulpal veins, indicating the mobilization of immune cells to the foci.
