Background. Cervical cancer occupies an important place among malignant neoplasms of the female reproductive system. Wertheim radical hysterectomy is one of the surgical treatment options for selected stages of cervical cancer. Evaluation of immediate surgical outcomes, the incidence of postoperative complications, and the characteristics of patient recovery is of considerable importance in modern gynecologic oncology.
Objective. To investigate the clinical characteristics and evaluate the immediate outcomes of Wertheim radical hysterectomy in patients with cervical cancer.
Materials and Methods. A retrospective-prospective study model was developed involving 150 women with histologically confirmed cervical cancer who underwent Wertheim radical hysterectomy. The proposed analysis includes patient age, reproductive history, disease stage, histological tumor type, duration of surgery, intraoperative blood loss, and postoperative complications.
Results. Hypothetical quantitative data are presented to illustrate a possible structure of the clinical analysis of 150 patients. These figures do not represent the results of an actual clinical study.
Conclusion. Evaluation of the outcomes of Wertheim radical hysterectomy should be based on the analysis of disease stage, tumor morphological characteristics, completeness of surgical resection, postoperative complications, and long-term oncological outcomes.
