RESULTS OF RADIOTHERAPY IN PEDIATRIC SUPRATENTORIAL BRAIN GLIOMAS

This study addresses a significant issue in pediatric neuro-oncology. The relationship between the recurrence/progression of supratentorial glial brain tumors and the degree of tumor anaplasia, ex­tent of surgical resection, and the administration of postoperative radiotherapy was investigated. Treat­ment outcomes in children with supratentorial glial tumors were assessed through the evaluation of quality of life indicators in patients who underwent not only surgical treatment but also adjuvant radio­therapy. The findings demonstrate that the effectiveness of therapeutic strategies should be evaluated not solely by oncological outcomes but also by their impact on the long-term quality of life of pediatric patients.
